This therapy involves assessment and treatment of daily living and occupational skills.  OT may include a focus upon increasing independent living skills, work adjustment activities, educational skills, and social skills.  It also involves the assessment and treatment or performance components, such as neuromuscular, sensory, and/or fine motor skills.

The focus of this therapy is upon helping the whole family learn to understand and cope with a brain injury.  Sessions help to promote understanding and acceptance of neurological impairment and the life consequences of the impairment.  There is also a strong focus upon helping families avoid “burn out” and develop successful stress management techniques.
